About the Course

Open Water is the first certification level. A trained PADI Instructor will teach you how to scuba dive supportive learning environment.

By the end of the course, you'll have the skills and knowledge to dive at home or abroad and be an ambassador for the underwater world

eLearning time commitment: 5-10 hours

* Prerequisites: medically fit for diving

* Total time commitment: 4-7 days

* Minimum age: 10 years or older

* Depth: expect shallow dives (12m/40ft), the maximum allowed depth is 18m/60ft

The PADI Scuba Diver course is a subset of the Open Water course. PADI Scuba Divers are trained to dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Divemaster, Assistant Instructor

or Instructor to a maximum depth of 12 metres/40 feet. PADI Scuba Divers have more theoretical background and better developed waterskills than Discover Scuba Diving participants, however, they are not qualified for independent diving.
